Falling back in it

Apropos of yesterday's commentary about "bike friendly cities"-- especially London, and their righteous approach to getting Brits onto bikes--somebody has to go ahead and shit the bed, right here in Minneapolis.

Over at the Star Tribune, you can refresh your screen with the same old anti-bike bile we've been hearing for years, in a blog thread about highways, toll roads, and the usual transportation rigamorole-- properly called a "Spazout" by Sveden at Mpls Bike Love.

So anyway, Ignoramus sez:

I am fed up with the attempted social engineering that our government is trying to foist on us.

Biking to work isn't the answer, yet we spend 10's of millions of dollars on bike paths, which I believe are used by less than 1% of the population.

You can imagine the bikepile that is forming on top of this poor fellow.
