Special weekend bonus! It's Songs For Broken-hearted Cyclists.
While we're away, you can track down some of these soulful tunes and enjoy -- if you're the sentimental silent type who listens to your iPod while rebuilding your bottom bracket...

  • Low, The Great Destroyer
  • Joseph Arthur, Come to Where I'm From
  • Iron & Wine, "From Such Great Heights"
  • Ry Cooder & V.M. Bhatt, "Isa Lei"
  • Guided By Voices, "Jane of the Waking Universe"

I was always fond of Bob Seger's "Against The Wind".

The Replacements are always great for drinking beer and fixing bikes. Soon you forget about fixing the bikes and just drink beer, so then you have an excuse the next day to drink beer and listen to the Replacements again.

It's a self-perpetuating circle of beer drinking and bike wrenching!
