A note on the advertising #1

You may have noticed that one of our advertisers over there in the soothing blue box is "Sparta Wisconsin, The Bicycling Capital of America. World famous Elroy-Sparta Trail." That probably sounds a bit grandiose to our readers in Georgia, Colorado, California, North Carolina, even North Dakota. We don't know why, exactly, they think they can call themselves the Biking Capital of America. And if that bike trail were world famous, they probably wouldn't need to advertise. But we DO know that it is one of the most beautiful places in the USA to ride a bike, without having to climb at altitude. So there's your advertising note for today.
