BFF: The festival with the wrong home town

We heard from Brendt Barbur this morning. He's the director and founder of the Bicycle Film Festival. The New York party was the largest ever: Barbur claims that more than 11,000 people attended the festival, and they came from all over the globe.

That's awesome news. But the most serious global groupies will want to follow the festival to better bike towns like Minneapolis and Portland--cities with a greater diversity of tallbikes, cruisers, commuters, singletrack, utility bikes, and those nutty, nutty messengers.

Nothing against the Big Apple, but it's a little like kicking off the Banff Mountain Film Festival in Dubuque, Iowa.
