At least he's not rocking the cap-backward look these days

Floyd gets his day in court today. Actually, it's likely to be 10 days. VeloNews summarizes nicely:

The stakes are simple - and very high. If Landis and his attorneys can convince at least two members of the three-person arbitration panel that he did not use synthetic testosterone to win the '06 Tour, he'll retain his title and could re-commence his racing career.

But if the U.S. Anti Doping Agency successfully prosecutes its case, Landis will become the first Tour winner in more than 100 years to be stripped of his title, and he'll face a two-year suspension from racing and another two-year exclusion from ProTour ranks.

I would even simplify the stakes further: You either trust science or you don't. (Or you prove a massive conspiracy to manipulate science and the laws of nature by tampering with urine samples.) A guy wants to believe that miracles are possible, but at some point you look in the mirror and see a sucker.

BTW, Phil and Paul were uncharacteristically verbose on the subject during yesterday's, uh, massive stage 1 Cyclasm. Said Phil of Ivan Basso, "He's been lying all along. It's very disturbing."
