Of the 1000 uses for old bicycle tubes that I've now been exposed to, by far the most provocative is the gun grip.

I'm especially interested to know more about this. What kind of a "push," precisely, would you be in where you needed extra friction on your pistol grip and you had time to find an old bike tube to wrap around it?
