Intractable Problems of Modern Society: Chicks on bikes

I would have thought -- in fact, I hoped -- the younger generation of women would have pushed us all into a sort of enlightenment and detente between the sexes. But the moment a gentleman like Dave Moulton opens his mouth to speak about women on bikes being a vison of "beauty and grace," and how Dutch women ride in fairly formal business wear including heels, he gets shouted down by "Jenny" (I'd guess her last initial is "X") for wallowing in his "basic instinct."

Jesus, will you give us a break! It seems women can't go anywhere these days without some pervert hovering near by. Men, evolve please. Strive beyond your basis instincts. Let us women be free of it!

The question at hand is this: Is it sexist to suggest that more women should ride their bikes? Or is it just sexist to take pictures of them doing it?

I continue to be flabbergasted by the implication that humans can and should live as if sex is a necessary but unpleasant evil that must not be acknowledgeed outside the darkened bedroom. And to associate that conceit with bikes is tantatmount to suggesting that beer is bad.

"I gave you bikes, beer, and sex to make life more pleasant for you, and all you did was complain about it. Now, you are all going to Hell." The word of The Lord.

One of the seven deadly sins is Lust. Not only is sex a sin, don’t even think about it.
