A poke in the eye to you, goddam liberal cyclist!

Last weekend, the US House was working on an energy bill that included a tax deduction for bicycle commuters-- $20 per month. Pretty tame stuff, huh? That couldn't keep The South from rising up in open rebellion, and ridiculing bikes and bicyclists.

This ought to wake up the bike advocate in you, like a splash of hot coffee in the lap. North Carolina, watch your back! I foresee a massive bike pile in front of Rep. McGasGuzzler's chambers.

"A 19th century solution to a 21st century problem" indeed! This calls for an old-fashioned tar brush, a sack of feathers, and a long piece of lumber.

In which century does he think the automobile was invented? What is the 21st century solution? Personal helicopters? Oh wait, that'd be a 20th century invention. Hovercraft? Oh wait, that's 20th century as well. Transporters? Like on Star Trek? That'd be cool! In the meantime, this member of an 18th-century institution needs to pull his head of his ass.

stupid ideot,

that guy needs to ride a bike himself, he looks a little thick in the cheeks..

actually, it would be better if he just ate a couple of cheese burgers and a box of twinkies every meal, washed it down with a 5th of Jack and picked up a 4 pack a day cig habbit, that would solve his and our problems a lot sooner. and he should pic himslef up a segway, that way he won't have to walk anywhere, help the problem get solved sooner.
