Like Inviting Geeks to a Comic Book Convention, Plus A Lesson Learned at the Dakota 50

Over at the estimable Tree Hugger, they're asking readers to send in photos of their commuter bikes, and we here at PFN are tempted to send them something from the archives such as, well....

But I liked the sexy jet bike that they're using to lure readers and contributors. With a few more adjustments to the waterbottle cages and shocks, maybe an additional Erlenmeyer flask, and a whole lot of surgical tubing, I could make my Stumpjumper look this cool.

I think you'd want to steer clear of riding this thing while wearing cycling shorts, tho, cuz the heat would probably shrink wrap your nuts (or your lady parts, as the case may be).

Still. A commuter bike photo contest? That's a little like having a laptop computer contest. Like, Dude, how many megahertz? Yah, but mine is made out of a beaver.

By the way: Pinchie made it back from the Dakota 50. "Main takeaway," he said this morning, from the comfort and privacy of his special bathroom in the basement, "is if the Filet Mignon comes wrapped in bacon, don't order it rare. You will be spending a lot of time on or beside the toilet."
