The possible -- and long hoped-for -- decline of the bike diaper

Guerilla knitting? Sounds a bit like jumbo shrimp, dunnit. But that's precisely what's going on in Chico, California -- and we expect this thing to take off, um, regionally in the coming months.

Coming to a bike rack or stop sign near you: Knitted bike cozies, to keep your frame scratchless, gleaming, and warm!

With any luck, this trend will lead to a corresponding decline in those butt-ugly top-tube pads the fixie hipsters love so much. (Note to Fixie Hipster: So why does the "clean lines" argument apply to riding without brakes or gears, but not to putting a diaper on your bike?)

The diapers are here in Denver. I've definitely seen them on bike racks on more than one occasion. Yet to see them on a bike though...
