Bikes by car makers: Addendum
A month ago or so, I was trying to dig up all the examples of car-branded bikes I could find -- from the high-end carbon Ferrari Colgnago and Ducati Corsa to the lowest of the low, the Jeep and Hummer bikes.
Today, I found the Dodge Viper bicycle, which is sort of the missing link between the extremes, I think.
With the new fuel economy standards getting close to passage, this may be the only vehicle to come out of Detroit in the next 12 months or so.

That is definitely an effort by the auto industry to kill cycling-related enthusiasm by getting as many hideous bikes on the street as possible. I bet they are giving them away for free when you fill up the RV at your local Shell.
Have you seen the Felt/Dodge Grand Caravan bike/trailer combo? Very much in spite of myself, I kinda like it.
You mentioned the Colnago. Just in case you haven't seen it in the wild, here it is in a bike shop in Florence:

It was just down the wall from the Armani Bianchi. Yeesh.

don't forget the PT Cruiser bikes--my mother-in-law got one of these for free somehow. Still a little overpriced:
