What's wrong with this picture?


Let's see if we've got this straight: In celebration of a new Interstate in Chicago, cyclists are being invited to ride on the new 12-mile spur before it opens to automobiles. For the privilege, they get to pay just $25 -- and the proceeds of this will be applied to building an adjacent bike path.

Does this sound sort of ass-backward to you? (It does to us.)

Imagine the automobiles having the opportunity to be first on I-355, and charging them $25 for the privilege, and then applying those proceeds to a bike path.

Now, imagine pigs flying out of your butt.
