President implicated in bike-porn operation

Speaking of Washington, the tanking economy, and expensive Germans, this is President Bush's custom Trek. Not a bad bike-porn shot, for one of those paunchy photogs from the White House press pool, but we'd like to see a bit more of an oily sheen off the top tube and less tarmac.

Actually, Trek built and painted two customized Fuel 98s last year for the Prez. Word at the time was that one was for display, the other for hammering around the Crawford ranch. But we like to think maybe Dick Cheney has the other one -- you know, as a sort of emergency suicide pill when the time comes.

Also this: The Prez is running pretty low pressure there, and we'll take that as an endorsement for the pinch flat.
