A bright spot on a dark day

One of the heroes of last week's bridge collapse here in the Twin Cities was a passing cyclist named Dan Schueller. You can see photos and hear his story here.

We're not huge fans of the Star Tribune, our local fishwrap that has been trying to use this tragedy to goose circulation. (Tens of thousands of extra copies are being printed and left on the doorsteps of non-subscribers, yech.)

That said, this is a pretty moving story. We can hardly hold it against Dan that he posted his story to the Strib's website, nor that he wears a Salsa jersey and an iPod during his daily commute.
