Well, that's what they mean by unsupported, innit

The first finisher of the Great Divide Race is in, and he's set a new record.

Saturday afternoon, Jay Petervary finished the grueling 2500 mile mountain bike ride along the Great Divide from Canada to Mexico.

He was the first to arrive after 15 days and a handful of hours--and all he got at the finish line was a hassle from the border patrol and some dubious information about the next bus into town.

(By the way, that photo was snapped by the good people at Absolute Bikes in Salida, Colorado--one of the neatest shops in one of the neatest dirt-biking locations in the world.)
