Now that's a tanking economy: bartering with beer

Three bike messengers in Australia hung up their bikes back in 1995 to start selling messenger bags. Thus was Crumpler bags born. The three also started a tradition that stands today: an annual sale that allows customers to barter beer for a new bag. For the duration of the sale, June 9-19, you can buy beer--good beer, no Budweiser, thank ye very much--and walk into any Crumpler store and trade it for one of their bags.

But wait, I need the bag to carry the beer. How about if you give me the bag and I'll go get the beer?
