The Wind Breaker sez: Don't blame the victim

Every day, news crosses our desk of cyclists killed or maimed. It's not always at the bumper of the motorcar, but still.

Today, for example, a cycling fan in Georgia died from injuries he suffered in a bike crash following the Brasstown Bald stage of the Tour of Georgia.

Unfortunately, as the popularity of cycling mainstreams, the statistical reality is that more people will be injured and killed. It'll be our job to keep reminding the shrill and the contrarian motorcarbon population how many more people die in their cars each day.
